The Monkey King

In Bratislava, with Nic Raine conducting, we recorded Christopher Young’s mammoth score to the Chinese fantasy epic “The Monkey King”. The film is based on an episode of “Journey to the West” – a Chinese literary classic written in the Ming Dynasty by Wu Cheng’en. The film was a major hit in China grossing over $175 million.
